BACK ON THE OCEAN

We really like Cape May, NJ. It is a walkable city with a lot of history. The Congress Hall hotel used to be called, “The Summer White House,” as four U.S. presidents—Franklin Pierce, James Buchanan, Ulysses S. Grant, and Benjamin Harrison—vacationed here. President Benjamin Harrison even held official office from the hotel for a summer. We stayed at Congress Hall last fall and really enjoyed biking around the area, walking the beach and enjoying good meals at local restaurants. This time around, we walked the dog along the beach, enjoyed “docktails” with other loopers on a cool, blustery evening and had a great video call with my brother Carl and his wife Maggie.
