HELLO ED & KYLE!!

Serendipity is a word that I have used a lot while traversing the Great Loop. There have been many happy, unexpected occurrences and one of them came to a culmination in Lakefield, Ontario. Sometime in late March, I posted a request for an anchorage spot prior to Savannah, GA. I received an outpouring of responses, but one dear person (Ed and Kyle completed the loop in 2022) emailed me directly with A LOT of very good information. We sent a number of emails back and forth and realized that not only had we both lived in Cincinnati, but in the Clifton area, just north of downtown. A little more sleuthing and I found out that he knew the people that bought my childhood home on Greendale Avenue and had been in the house! I immediately called my mom and told her the story.

As Ed and Kyle live in Ontario, Canada and fairly close to where we were going to be on the Trent Severn, we met in Lakefield. It was wonderful to listen their stories about Cincinnati, previous work, where they live in the Caribbean, etc. Another amazing reason for doing the loop is that we met and befriend wonderful people.
