South Haven, MI is a nice spot, very walkable and cute shops/restaurants. The dock master came right out to help us dock on their wall. We were supposed to only stay two nights, but ended up staying three due to weather. After buttoning up the boat, the three of us walked up to South Haven Brew Pub.
You’ll notice the dog that is standing on the table in the corner. Now, that is a dog friendly establishment.
They were incredibly dog friendly and had a little attachment to the table where the waitress put a frozen yogurt cup for Bella that took her awhile to finish off. She also brought iced water for Bella as well-pretty special! They also had good food, so would highly recommend this place.
Bella and I headed out for a walk on the Kal-Haven trail. We had to walk about a mile to get to the trailhead, but it was a really nice walk. We threw the ball before and afterward, so Bella was a tired pup that evening.
Lovely walk with an occasional biker that passed us. Could have walked for miles.
Howie’s sister Joni and brother-in-law Jack came up to visit on Sept. 9 as we were only about 30 minutes from where they live in St. Joe. Joni was kind enough to bring an incredibly healthy lunch with them.
Jack and Joni Bartoszek (Howie’s beautiful sister and equally handsome brother-in-law)!
Howie, Linda and Bella sitting pretty for the picture.
We had a great time chatting and enjoying some good weather during a walk to the beach.
What was to be our last day, the waves were just too high to go out. Winds and the fetch kept us at South Haven for one more day. On Sept. 11 (Friday) we headed out for St. Joe, MI.
