THE APOCALYPSE IS HERE
We actually had a very nice time in Georgetown even though the trip up from Charleston was apocalyptic. Lovely park, great downtown.
I COULD LIVE HERE
USS Yorktown aircraft carrier bringing Howie back to his US Air Force days.
DO YOU EVER GET THAT VIBE?
Yep, when you can’t find any other images of the surrounding area, my go to is uploading a picture of Bella!
OLD HAUNTS
My dear friend Carolyn! We do back to 1997 with our friendship
ANCHORING OUT-NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART
It was a bit ‘nippy’ heading up from Jekyll island to our anchoring spot. We haven’t anchored out since working with “Captain Jack”. Here’s hoping that the anchor holds and we stay in one spot for the night!
ISLAND LIVING
Walking the beach on Jekyll Island.
DEAR FRIENDS ON AMELIA ISLAND
So amazing to see dear friends!
MEMORY LOSS-WHERE ARE WE?
Bella enjoying a siesta on the “dark side” of the boat.
BADASS CITY-ST. AUGUSTINE
St. Augustine ranks up there in the top three cities that we visited in Florida. Very pretty, great downtown area with lots of shops and quality restaurants.
ANYONE SAY ‘COCKTAIL’?
My brother Carl and his wife Maggie have come down to Palm Coast for the last few years and recommended we go to Rodie’s Place for lunch. It did not disappoint-good quality food!!
FEELING CONFIDENT
I brought the boat into the Halifax Harbor marina, around the marina office, past the first dock line and docked the boat on the middle T-head.
NO PACKAGES PLEASE!
Heading into Titusville Municipal Marina.
DOLPHINS
This is a pretty “Zen” Bella which is pretty unusual.
DOWN TIME
Enjoying a margarita after our first official week on the Great Loop! We got the margarita mix from a couple that were giving away food/drink at our old Fort Lauderdale marina. Turned out to not be such a good mix as I spent time in the bathroom getting rid of it. Yuck.
LOST AT SEA
Howie and Bella just to the left of the Captain’s station on the flybridge.
NASTY WAVES
ON THE ROAD OR ON THE WATER??
THE START
Bella and Linda getting ready to head out from Fort Lauderdale. Some anxiety with starting this grand adventure, but feeling like we can handle what comes our way.
