STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES

There are times when I question my own decision making. Staying at Homer Smith marina, we were near a beautiful beach and thought to my self, hey, let’s take the dog over and throw the ball in the water. Bella and I had a great time for about an hour and then Howie met us for a walk into town. We had just gotten drinks and were settling down to enjoy a nice Saturday evening out when we look down and see blood all over the floor near Bella. She had cut one of her foot pads on the beach shells while I was throwing the ball for her. Oh shit. The walk into town must have stemmed the blood from coming out and when she sat down, boom here it comes. We walk back home, disinfect it and put a bandage with a sock on it. I found an amazing vet hospital called Austin Veterinary hospital that took us in Monday morning where they bandaged the foot pad. It took over a month for it to heal entirely, but hey, at least she got to enjoy ball throwing for an hour.

Finally did get out for a fantastic dinner in Beaufort, NC-Beaufort Grocery Company (yes, it was a grocery before they renovated).
