IT’S HARD TO SAY GOODBYE
June 28-July 1, 2026
There are some looper (and not looper) friends that you meet and realize you really enjoy each other’s company. You see them over a few month period, go out for dinner and keep in touch through texts, etc. This happened with Jeff and Ann White (not loopers) who were traveling with Scott and Amy Andrews (actual loopers). The two couples started in Annapolis, MD and Jeff and Ann were only going as far as Navy Point marina in Sackett’s Harbor. Such is the life of loopers-meet new friends and sometimes having to say goodby to them.
There was a great swimming hole at Navy Point marina right near our boat. Bella bolted for this spot every chance she got. Needless to say, we went swimming at least once (if not twice) a day.
Howie throwing the ball our first night there while other folks at the marina enjoyed chatting with us.
Sackett’s Harbor is a very quaint town with good bike trails, a charming downtown (excellent wine shop!), nice restaurants and a lovely view of Henderson Bay/Lake Ontario.
Biking to Dollar General and back. Also biked some trails in the area.
