HUDSON RIVER, YOU ARE A STUNNER
June 9-11, 2026
Have you ever fallen in love with nature? If New York wasn’t so cold, I would live on the Hudson River. WOW, what an amazing experience to go from New York city to Troy, NY and not only the amazing natural areas, but the mansions of extremely rich people (Vanderbilts, Roosevelts, and Rockefellers). The river makes you want to slow down and contemplate life. It is mainly in a natural state, but occasionally, you get glimpses of man-kind and how important this river is to us. We stopped at the Hudson River maritime museum and marina for a couple of nights. It is just off the Hudson River about a mile. Very slow town that seems to enjoy it’s down time. The museum was well done and actually included in our marina stay, so that was nice. Bella and I walked to a local park which offered a place to throw the ball for a bit. Overall, a very nice stay.
This was an interesting home we saw as we were heading up the Hudson. I count five different floors. What do you see?
