GOOD GIRL (BELLA) GETS GOURMET, MOM GETS THE GOOD WINE

We had beautiful seas today for our trip. We went under the “Big Mac” bridge heading to Petoskey, MI.

Petoskey, MI was a very nice stop. It was a warm day and I contemplated going swimming, but decided against it as we were going to go into town for a drink. Once we were situated in the marina, Bella and I set off to get a few supplies. There was a high quality dog store in town within walking distance which is unusual, so Bella and I enjoyed finding some food for her and wine for me.

Once back at the boat with items put away, I took her over to the very convenient beach, just a few minutes walk from dock D where the boat was housed. I threw the ball for about 45 minutes and then we headed into town for a cocktail.

The boat was at the end of D dock, so the beach was pretty convenient.

Howie has not been finding the beer to be very good quality in Michigan and Beard’s Brewery was not an exception. He got a flight of four beers and didn’t like any of them. Being from Cincinnati, we are spoiled with all of the great beer selections.

Headed back to the boat for dinner. We eat most meals at home, probably because we enjoy relaxing with the patio doors open (if cool) and I like to cook. There are times we rely on a frozen pizza, but most nights it is a chicken salad, fish, spaghetti, white chicken chili, lettuce wraps, etc.

The next morning we were going to Charlevoix, MI to anchor in Round Lake.
